Tending the Grassroots is a joint fundraiser to support local community-supported organizer Derek Hoshiko, as well as organizations including rePurpose Whidbey, Kicking Gas and the United Student Leaders.

The fundraiser will be held at Freeland Hall on Saturday, October 12 from 5-7:30 p.m. There will be a dinner catered by Rocket Taco, drinks, dessert and entertainment into the evening including singer/songwriter Sage Hayes; poet Brooke Stout; singer Z’jehiah Harrera and DJ/karaoke by Casey from the Jive Hive.

Please invite friends to join you at the event. Tickets are offered at a sliding scale—no one turned away for lack of funds.
